Anti-Reflective Laminated Glass

Toughened Glass

Description: Zenith Toughened Glass is up to 7 times stronger than normal glass and is ideal for certain types of doors and table tops. We use Zenith Toughened glass for doors, balustrades, flooring and shower enclosures. Zenith Toughened Glass is also Safety Glass and has high impact qualities and will disintegrate upon breakage into small harmless pieces thus making it ideal for Shop Fronts and Doors both internal and external. Zenith Toughened glass or tempered glass is a type of safety glass that has increased strength and will usually shatter in small, blunt pieces when broken. It is used when strength, thermal resistance and safety are important considerations, e.g. in architectural glass, such as balustrading, canopies, curtainwalling and much more.

Application:Zenith Toughened Glass can be applied to both interior and exterior laminated glass applications such as, interior and exterior retail viewing windows, jewelry cabinets, museum glass, sports viewing areas.

Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass Can Be Matched With a Variety of Decorative Glass Options.

Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass

Description: Zenith Laminated Glass is a type of safety glass that can be used to produce extra thick glass and plain or decorative interlayers for a range of products, including glass flooring and glass stair treads. Zenith Laminated glass produces thick strong glass to withstand loading weights and security for glass flooring and stair treads, it cannot be Zenith Toughened and is usually manufactured to 30-35mm for glass flooring projects. In the event of breakage, Zenith Laminated glass is held together by an interlayer. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking into large sharp pieces. Decorative interlayers including branding, artwork and patterns are inserted to provide a unique product. Colour coated glass can also be Zenith Laminated to provide double sided opaque colour. See our Case Studies for practical examples of Zenith Laminated glass applications.

Application: Glass shower enclosures, sneeze guards, railing glass, skylights

Bent Glass

Bent Glass

Bent Glass

Bent Glass Can Be Matched With a Variety of curve Glass Options

Description: Zenith Bent glass is a normal glass, which is curved with a special process. It can be used for external sites, such as facades, shop fronts, panoramic lifts etc. and is also commonly used for internal sites in showcases, shower doors, refrigerator cabinets etc.Zenith Bent glass is produced in a horizontal mould by slowly heating the glass to approximately 600°C, at which the glass softens sufficiently and takes the shape of the mould. The glass is then slowly cooled to avoid any internal stress. The mould itself plays a very important role in Zenith Bent glass manufacturing because it determines the quality and angle of the curve.

Application: Bakery Counters, Jewellery Showrooms, Staircases, Shower Enclosures, Furnitures

Beveled Glass

Beveled Glass

Beveled Glass

Creating Custom Beveled Glass Using as per Customer satisfaction

Description: Zenith Beveled glass is usually made by taking 1/4-inch-thick (6.4 mm) clear glass and creating a one-inch bevel on one side around the entire periphery. These bevels act as prisms in the sunlight creating an interesting color diffraction which both highlights the glasswork and provides a spectrum of colors which would ordinarily be absent in clear float glass. "Zenith Beveled glass" can be obtained as clusters which are arranged to create a specific design. These can vary from simple three or four piece designs, often used in top lights (commonly known as transoms) of windows and conservatories, to more complex combinations of many pieces, suitable for larger panels such as doors and side screens .

Application: Glass canopies, flooring, glass stairs, security glazing, kiosks, railings, jewelry cabinets, signage, skylights, sound control glazing, blast resistant glazing, storm protection glazing, military vehicles, armored vehicles, Marine windows, decorative windows and much more.

Insulating Glass

Insulating Glass

Insulating Glass

High-Level Insulated Glass or Double Glazed Glass units

Description: Zenith IGUs’ are basically multiple layered glass panes that have very dry air or inert gas between the glass panes. The glass panes are hermetically sealed. Any use of two thick nesses of glass, separated by an air space, within an opening, to improve insulation against heat transfer and/or sound transmission. In factory-made double-glazing units the air between the glass sheets is thoroughly dried and the space is sealed airtight, eliminating possible condensation and providing superior insulating properties. Very dry air is a poor conductor of thermal heat, and an IGU provides excellent thermal insulation. A typical 6mm clear glass + 12mm air-gap + 6mm clear glass IGU provides a U-value of 2.8 Watts/m2, often significantly lower than many low-emissivity glasses.

Application: Prisons, armored vehicles, courthouses, embassies, hospitals, psychiatric wards, military barracks, banks, jewelry stores.

High-performance Solar Glasses are used across many industries

Description: windows coated with a low-emittance (low-E) coating block radiant heat transfer. This lowers the amount of heat that passes through a window. Depending on energy needs, different types of low-E coatings allow for high, moderate, or low solar gains. Solar glass is often used to lower energy costs.

Low-E coatings are nearly invisible, and made up of layers of metal or metallic oxide on a glass surface. The coating is transparent to visible light. In layered glazing, heat can be transferred between panes of glass, from warmer to cooler. Putting a low-E coated pane in the space between layers of glass helps block that heat. Window technologists in the past filled this gap with air or dry nitrogen.

  • Today, argon and krypton gas are used between panes, which has improved window performance. Both gases are nontoxic and nonreactive. Krypton is more expensive than argon, so some manufacturers combine the two gases to improve thermal performance at a reasonable cost. Double-glazed windows with an argon gas fill between panes of low-E-coated glass are called pyrolitic, or hard coated. This application is designed to reduce heat loss but allow sunlight in for warmth, or solar gain.

Application: Solar glass is practical for windows, doors, and skylights. Commercially, it is used for the top surfaces of thermal collectors and photovoltaic modules. The appearance of solar glass is colorless, but can be patterned for optimal solar energy transmission.

Heat Soaked Glass

Heat Soaked Glass

Heat Soaked Glass

Heat Soaked Glass Can Reduce The Transmission of Unwanted Heat

Description: Tempering process increases the strength of glass many folds, offering a greater resistance to breakage. However, the raw-materials used in the manufacturing of tempered glass are not free from certain defects like nickel-rich contaminants such as stainless steel might be present, and then combine with sulphur to form nickel sulphide inclusions, which put tempered glass at potential risk of spontaneous breakage.

When glass is heat-treated, the nickel sulfide inclusions are modified into a form that grows or transforms with time and temperature. Once glass is installed and the nickel sulfide inclusions are solar heated, small cracks may develop from the inclusion. If these cracks penetrate the tension layer of fully tempered glass, the resulting release of energy will cause the glass to spontaneously break.

Application:

  • The use of heat-soaked tempered glass is recommended where the risk of spontaneous breakage would cause difficulty, either from a replacement point of view, or where falling glass fragments may be unsuitable, such as roof or high level glazing, balustrades, screens and high level curtain walling.
  • Heat soak glass is appropriate where there is a risk of human impact. If breakage does occur, the breakage pattern is such that the resultant pieces of glass are relatively harmless and are unlikely to cause severe injury.

Textured Glass Laminates

Textured laminates are perfect for use in high traffic areas, such as dance floors and retail stores.

Textured Laminated Glass

Stairway featuring textured laminated glass flooring.

Description: From slightly textured to cast glass, many varieties of patterned glass can be laminated. Textured glass laminates can be any size, shape or thickness, and are typically made with sandwiched layers of tempered glass. The laminated glass panels are versatile, coming in a variety of colors, glass types, and also can be completely transparent. They can be used in high traffic areas, such as shops or dance floors, where they are often textured to reduce slippage and to hide scratches.

Application: Floors, water features, railings, feature walls, railings.

Ceramic Printed Glass

Textured laminates are perfect for use in high traffic areas, such as dance floors and retail stores.

Ceramic Printed Glass

Ceramic Printed Glass

Description: Ceramic Frit Glass - Ceramic frit is applied to the glass through a fine mesh screen with glass enamel before the glass is tempered or heat strengthened. On tempering or heat strengthening, the glass enamel fuses into the glass surface and becomes a permanent coating which cannot be damaged or removed by cleaning or scrubbing etc. Silk-screened glass can be specified for both exterior and interior applications. When used on building exteriors, the painted surface must be protected from direct contact with the environment and is normally found in an insulating glass unit. Combining silk-screened glass with clear, tinted, Low-E, or reflective glass, can control light transmittance; reduce solar heat gain and its aesthetic and performance characteristics are enhanced.

Application:

  • Applications include transparent and translucent silk-screened glass for interior applications, including glass doors, partitions, handrails, glass ceilings, bathrooms, elevator walls and shower enclosures.
  • Ceramic frit glass used in curtain walls; point fixed or bolted glazing systems, shower installations, glass doors and partitions. The size, density and color would determine the opacity and shading whereas the variety of dots, squares, checks and patterns will give many design combinations to achieve the desired effect.

Heat Strengthened Glass

Heat Strengthened Glass

Heat Strengthened Glass

Heat strengthening adds strength to the glass

Description: Zenith Heat strengthened glass is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done at a much slower pace. Annealed glass is heated to approximately 650-700 º C, but the cooling process is slower than that for tempered glass. Zenith Heat strengthened glass is about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same size and thickness. Zenith Heat strengthened glass is a semi tempered glass which retains the normal properties of ordinary float glass. Zenith Heat strengthened glass has been strengthened thermally by inducing a surface compression of 6000 to 9000 psi as compared to a range of 11000 to 20000 psi in case of fully tempered glass. Heat strengthening adds strength to the glass while limiting the change in its breakage characteristics. The cooling process places the surfaces of the glass in a state of high compression and the central core in a state of compensating tension.

Application:

  • Heat-strengthened glass continues to gain popularity and is often the choice of the design professionals for vertical vision spandrel areas and for laminated sloped glazing. Heat-strengthened glass is valued for its mechanical strength which is twice of normal annealed though half of fully tempered glass.
  • Zenith Heat strengthened glass has a comparatively flatter finish than fully tempered glass. It therefore has lesser optical distortions and so can be used in places where high optical quality is required.
  • It can be used for general glazing where additional strength or resistance to mechanical/thermal loads caused by certain tinted or coated glass. The glass can also be used in high wind load areas, but cannot be used in any safety glazing applications.
  • Heat-strengthened glass is widely used in laminated glass for additional strength, such as in overhead and sloped glazing.
